Faith Formation
Our Religious Education Program is a ministry of the Catholic Church dedicated to assisting parents in the integral formation of their children’s faith and in their preparation to worthily receive the Sacraments of Christian Initiation. In accordance with the evangelizing mission of the Church, we offer faith formation for children
in Kindergarten and First Grade, as well as sacramental preparation for Baptism, First Holy Communion, and Confirmation.
Our instruction is rooted in Sacred Scripture, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, prayer, Church Tradition, and Gospel values, all presented in a manner appropriate to each student’s age and stage of development. We recognize parents as the primary educators in the faith of their children; therefore, the success of our program depends upon the cooperation, mutual respect, and shared commitment among families, students, catechists, and volunteers.
Classes and activities are conducted within the safe environment of Mother of Our Redeemer Catholic School. All staff and volunteers comply with the requirements established by the Archdiocese of Miami Office of Safe Environment, including background screenings and mandatory training for the protection of minors and vulnerable individuals. Our commitment is to accompany each family in their journey of faith, helping our students grow spiritually and live as committed disciples of Christ and His Church.
The Faith Formation Program runs from September 2026 through May 2027.

Sessions are held every Wednesday from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM on the grounds of Mother of Our Redeemer Catholic School.
The OCIA journey is centered on conversion, communion, and discipleship. It is a process of spiritual growth and transformation that invites participants to deepen their relationship with God and with the Church. Through prayer, catechesis, reflection, and community life, participants are guided toward a fuller understanding and lived experience of the Catholic faith.
The OCIA Program is open to:

Teens and adults who have not received any of the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, First Holy Communion, and/or Confirmation)
-
Teens and adults baptized in other Christian denominations who wish to enter into full communion with the Catholic Church
